This is Erin.

She went and had herself a 30th birthday over the weekend and threw one hell of an Oscar-themed party. (pics from the party)

Here’s what I know about Erin.

She is quite possibly the sweetest person I know. She is kind and gentle, she listens and loves. She is thoughtful and sincere. She is a dreamer, and she dreams big. She’s determined and perseveres. She is stronger than she realizes.

Erin is an inspiration to me. I push forward, because she does. I think the impossible is possible, because she does. I challenge myself to pursue my passion, because she does.

I am ridiculously lucky to call her one of my closest friends. And I truly, truly hope that this 30th year brings more to her life than she could have imagined.

I have several; here’s what I can think of right now:

My bedroom, especially after a long & crappy day. I just close the door, shut off my phone & wallow in the solitude.

My friend Sophia’s apartment, with me sitting in the living room with her husband watching The Office while she’s making dinner - it’s like I’m their 29 year-old foster child.

Anytime I’m on a photo excursion it’s my favorite place at that moment in time, especially if I’m there with friends.

Driving in my car alone late at night with traffic moving well & the radio on not too loud.

Disneyworld.

Sitting around a table full of good food & booze, talking about anything with my favorite people (which will be happening later this week - very excited).

My parents kitchen on Christmas Eve, cooking tons of food for our annual party.

This past Sunday I went to Brighton Beach with Lauren & Chasi to shoot some photos. It was the first time I’d been out to shoot in about 6 weeks. I felt more like myself yesterday than I have in a long time.

January 24th was my blog’s 2 year anniversary. I didn’t post anything on that day.

I wonder what I was doing that day that was so important I couldn’t be bothered to post/remember this important date. It was a Sunday & the dog was still alive so…I was probably at my parents house doing laundry. Oh, wait, scratch that - according to Twitter I didn’t get out of bed until 3 in the afternoon. Sheesh. Laundry sounded so much more productive.
